let’s go swimming present lgs007 by manchester’s no moon - a loving tribute to his late angel fish john. the majority of the ep was made in a 7 day period at an unusual time in his life. “due to having just left my job, recently single, and having signed all unsigned music. felt like i had a total fresh slate. so i guess this all contributed to me ending making a pretty big departure from a lot of my usual techniques”.

music for swimming pools proudly presents it s first release, and who better to get the ball rolling than reverso 68. pete herbert and long time musical partner phil mison come together with three new tracks and a rework of their first ever release piece together. originally released on specialist interest recordings and then promptly picked up by eskimo recordings who gave the part two version exposure to a wider audience, we thought it was about time part one was given a new mixdown and polish.. and the results were superb! .. a freshly served version of this seminal mid tempo afro/80 s inspired classic. and onto the new productions, first up red day heads straight down italo alley with chunky slo mo drums and some infectious synth action. buzara heads into typical reverso territory, and a nod to frontera del ensueno with grainy flamenco guitars, loose percussion and old school house synths for the dancefloor.. and finally orange sky rounds things off with a lush hypnotic afro percussive work out. . we recommend you test the water.

mos ferry release #57 is a vinyl re-release of two true classics from the label catalogue. dapayk & padbergs >island< is a special result of a collaboration with the american singer and producer caro. the original track came out in 2007 on their second album >black beauty<. but the choice for this record is the >swimming circles remix< by the parisian dj and producer duo noze (of circus company and get physical fame). originally released on the b side of >black beauty rmxs pt.2< the remix developed into a prominent long runner for the artists and the label. in 2005 >emergency< by dapayk & midnight marked the birth of mos ferrys first sublabel fenou. the 10inch record was released as a limited edition of 1.000 copies, each stamped by hand with a consecutive number. this first and only edition is out of stock for years now and if you are lucky you can buy a rare copy on discogs. reason enough to bring this track on a new mos ferry vinyl release.
